everything from sporting events to industrial sites. We also operate
an Air Ambulance service, servicing both the domestic and international

We offer
the following services.

|
| On
Site Medical Support |
Alberta Paramedical Services is able to provide you and your
company specialized onsite medical support, designed specifically
for you. Having our staff on your jobsite gives you peace of mind
and the best care available. We guarantee the immediate attention
that you expect and deserve. We treat workers that do not need
the services of a hospital, but by understanding the process of
our local Emergency Services, we can also focus on expedient transfer
to local departments.
Any site can need care and assistance ranging from recognizing
a potential hazard to a major disaster involving several injured
or trapped victims which requires full-blown Emergency Services
Response and coordinating initial rescue and first aid care. We
can provide this conveniently and affordably. We can also work
with you to provide on-going care to workers on light duty or
back to work programs to ensure they know how to regain their
pre-injury status and keep disabling injuries at bay.

| Audiometry
Testing |
Alberta Paramedical Services can administer
an audiometry test which is pictorial representation, an audiogram,
of hearing loss at various frequencies. The audiometry test determines
a subject's hearing levels but may also measure ability to discriminate
between different sound intensities, recognize pitch, or distinguished
speech from background noise. Acoustic reflex and otoacoustic
emissions may also be measured. Results of audiometric tests are
used to diagnose hearing loss or diseases of the ear. Our Audiometry
Technicians can administer the test either at your work site,
or in our testing facility.

| Spirometry
Testing |
Alberta Paramedical Services can administer
a spirometry test. This is the most common of the Pulmonary Function
Tests (PFTs), measuring lung function, specifically the measurement
of the amount (volume) and/or speed (flow) of air that can be
inhaled and exhaled. Spirometry is an important tool used for
generating pneumotachographs which are helpful in assessing conditions
such as asthma, pulmonary fibrosis, cystic fibrosis, and COPD.
It also can be done to assess the effect of medication and measure
progress in disease treatment. Our Spirometry Technicians can
administer the test either at your work site, or in our testing
facility.

Medivac - Air Ambulance - Heli-Evacuation |
Alberta
Paramedical Services can provide fully equipped and registered
EMT's, paramedics, nurses and/or respiratory therapists to accompany
sick and injured travelers and provincial residents. If a physician
is required for the flight, we can arrange for one, at an additional
cost.
All
of our medivac's are done as an Advanced Life Support (ALS) (ACLS,
PALS, NALS, and BTLS) transfer unless requested otherwise by the
sending/receiving physician/agency. We can provide a Basic Life
Support medivac if requested.
We
will transfer patients, by charter aircraft, from any point of
origin in the world to any destination that the client wishes.
We can also provide transfer services anywhere in the world by
commercial airliner.
We
utilize the local ground ambulance at the patients’ point
of origin and at the patient’s destination. We can make
all of the ground arrangements or they can be made by your organization.
If
the trip is on a commercial aircraft, we try to make the most
economical arrangement possible. We have a travel agency, which
is familiar with the special requirements of a medical flight,
which can make all the travel arrangements or the client can make
their own arrangements.
